The reasons can be far-reaching: overwhelm, feelings of inadequacy, burnout, trauma, grief, wondering if they are “enough” or perhaps a niggle that tells them surely there is more to life than this.
I work with adults who want to understand themselves better, make sense of what they are experiencing and, where possible, find a different way forward. Sometimes psychotherapy is about getting through a difficult period. Sometimes it is about making a change you have been contemplating for a long time. And sometimes it is simply about having the space to stop, listen to yourself and understand what is going on beneath the surface.
I am an integrative, relationally-trained counsellor, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches rather than working from a script or assuming that one way of working will suit everyone.
My clinical experience includes life transitions, baby loss, self-doubt, work-related stress and burnout. I work with what is actually in the room, with you as the person you are.
I work with adults from all backgrounds, cultures, religions, genders and sexualities. Everyone is welcome in my room, whoever you are and however you identify.
How much does a session cost?
Individual sessions are £65 for 50 minutes. A limited number of sliding-scale spaces are available on request.
What can I expect from the first session?
This is where we begin to figure out how we will work together. It is different for every client but we will go at your pace and start to agree areas that might be helpful for you.
Do you offer online or in-person sessions?
Both! I work with clients online across the UK as well as in person in Uxbridge, whichever suits you best.
How long will I need therapy?
It varies. Some people come for a handful of sessions; others stay longer. We'll review regularly and you're always in control.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. What you share stays between us, within the standard ethical and legal limits we'll discuss in our first session.
I am still unsure whether to proceed.
No problem. Starting psychotherapy can feel daunting so take your time. I am here if you have any questions and feel to book in a free 15 minute consultation where we can talk more. There is no obligation at any stage.
